Welcome to the Educator's Corner!

In this section of our website we offer teachers, career counsellors, and speakers resources to plastics information to help students find possible career opportunities in one of Canada's largest industries - Plastic!

The resources developed by the Canadian Plastics Sector Council offer a set of activities on plastics, along with career profiles on key occupations useful to secondary teachers and guidance counsellors. Students will have an opportunity to learn about plastics processing and/or the range of career opportunities available in the plastics industry.

FACT: In 2008, nearly 100,000 people were employed by the Canadian plastics industry!

Teachers

The Educator’s Corner offers teachers quick and easy access to information or resources on plastics. Many of the links offer resources available free of charge, by downloading either lesson plans or handouts. The resources themselves are available for various grades at both secondary and post secondary levels. Teachers will find:
  • teacher's and student's guides
  • on-line and downloadable video clips of the plastics industry as well as career profiles
  • links to other plastic websites with useful information
